So I happened upon The Leather Couch: Clinical Practice with Kinky Clients while looking for leatherworking books (I just searched “leather” and found a couple bdsm-related books 🤷‍♀️).

I was not the target of this book. Just a kinkster with a mild interest in psychology. But it fell in my lap and I checked it out and actually found it a really interesting read overall. It had interesting facts, figures and data, interviews, stories (which frustratingly never had any “and this is how we handled it / tried to handle it”… just “I had a client who came in with this problem” end of story 😭), and general concepts and advice (for people that are very much not me).

I genuinely hope the people it IS targeted at, take the advice to heart.

The same author has a follow-up book that I’ve started. That I found in the exact same way because it also had “leather” in the title 😅
